Lillian Bassman (1917-2012) was a leading fashion photographer of the legendary postwar generation that brought a new sense of freedom to the medium. CHANEL NEXUS HALL presents a selection of her iconic images for the first time in Japan. These images encapsulate her passion and her eye in what always was innovative work. The publisher Hearst Fujingaho will also exhibit a rare complementary selection of back issues of Harper’s BAZAAR.

メディアに新しい自由の感覚をもたらした、戦後世代の伝説的なファッション写真家リリアン バスマン(1917–2012)。常に革新的な方法で、女性の内面をとらえた彼女の代表作の数々を紹介する。会場ではハースト婦人画報社による、彼女が1948年に写真家としてのキャリアをスタートさせ活躍した、『ハーパーズ バザー』の貴重な資料も展示する。
